Unveiling of Festival K-12 Eco Exhibit “Murmurations: Migrant Birds of the Americas” - FREE ADMISSION

BVSD teacher and mentor artist Mary Powell oversees collaboration with 15 schools and fellow mentor artists Alfonso Piloto Nieves (Mexico)& Maria Eugenia Semprun ( Venezuela) for birds installation made up of tin foil (Elementary), recycled materials (Middle School) and ceramics (High School) with messages to be read by students in open mic at unveiling ceremony. Installation 60 FT X 25 FT on cinder block wall. The mission of this art installation is to connect student artists to the environment through migratory birds and human immigration within the Americas. In December installation will migrate to several different locations. Participating schools, Boulder Public Library, Denver International Airport, are some of the the venues.
