Latinnovating® --  a gathering of Latino leaders in the green economy: environmental entrepreneurs and innovators

The word "Latinnovating"  (pronounced Lah-TEE-no-vay-ting) was first defined in the the award-winning book series by Graciela Tiscareno Sato Latinnovating: Green American Jobs and the Latinos Creating Them  this way: "Industrial and social innovation rooted in and influenced by Latino cultures. It's based on familial values of creative reuse, preservation and conservation of resources. Those who are Latinnovating work to improve processes, products and boost energy efficiencies to support our modern lifestyle. They create economic opportunity and prosperity for their families, communities and our nation."

Students, business owners, future entrepreneurs should attend this forum to meet several "Latinnovators" who are leading social ventures, as if the planet matters. Forum leader Graciela Tiscareño-Sato is a Colorado-native turned Air Force officer and veteran, now sustainable business author and entrepreneur. Latinnovators scheduled to participate include:
  • Sandra Artalejo, fashion designer and children's book author whose childhood-to-innovation journey was featured in Latinnovating
  • Elizabeth “Liz” Perez-Halperin, President and founder of GC Green Incorporated (GCG), a certified woman and 9/11 service disabled veteran owned Green Build General Contracting and Consulting Firm. Liz's story will be featured in volume 2 of the series
