Angela Posada

Angela Posada-Swafford is a science, environment and exploration writer, producer and book author. Born in Bogota, Colombia, and resident in the United States since 1988, has a Masters in Journalism from the University of Kansas, and is a 2000-2001 fellow of the Knight Science Journalism Fellowships at MIT. Is currently the US correspondent of Muy Interesante magazine, the largest publication in Spanish language devoted to science for the general reader.

Is the author of a series of novels of adventures and adrenaline for young adults and beyond, with the common themes of science and environment, published in Spanish language by Grupo Planeta in Colombia. The series, Los Aventureros de la Ciencia/The Adventurers of Science, has a DVD with a complementary documentary about the real science, researchers and places that appear in the 200-page fiction novels. In each novel, four youngsters follow their aunt Abigail, a science reporter, in a wild crusade around the world, where they apply their newly-gained science knowledge to save the day. The 30-minute complementary documentaries are written and field co-produced by Angela Posada-Swafford, and directed and post-produced by Video Movil in Bogota.
